Jyothy lives in southern India, in the state of Kerala. If she is a vegetarian, she sometimes prepares meat dishes for her French friends. In the photo she is with her daughter Sumangala.

Fry the onions, spices (curry, salt, pepper, chilli) in a little oil.
Add the meat, grill.
Add the chopped tomatoes and deglaze.
Pour the coconut milk with the coriander leaves and simmer uncovered to thicken the sauce.
Add fresh cream and serve with rice.
Jyothy lives near Cochin or Kochi, probably the most populated city in Kerala. It is an industrial port on the southwest coast of India built on several peninsulas connected by ferries.
Fort-Cochin is the most touristic.
Along the sea, we notice the Chinese squares, large fishing nets.
It's a whole system of pulleys and weights that makes it possible to raise and lower huge teak frames to put the nets in the water.
Fishermen repair nets, sell fish.
We visit many historical monuments. Santa Cruz Cathedral,
St. Francis Church, the first European church built in India in 1503 by the Portuguese.
There is the tombstone of Vasco da Gama.
The Dutch cemetery where vegetation has regained its rights.
The Dhoby Khana, impressive laundry. Clothes are hand washed, air dried and ironed, often with charcoal irons.
And we're going to see a Kathakali show, a traditional play.
Very interesting: the make-up artists.
The cultural complex also houses a room where kalarippayat, a martial and therapeutic art, is practiced.
On the roads, we come across colorful trucks built by the Indian industrial "giant" Tata. The bodywork is decorated with paintings of flowers, landscapes, even a portrait of Shiva. Charms hang from the bumpers.
As Kochi has a large airport, it is the ideal gateway to visit Kerala.
