The Château de France was built on the foundations of an old manor house of which it preserves the beautiful vaulted cellar ... a mansion built at the end of the 17th century. It was an Advisor to the Parliament of Guyenne, Taffard, who developed the Château de France vineyard in the 18th century in a key period: that of the birth of the qualitative notion of Grand Cru. It was Bernard Thomassin, who bought the estate in 1971, who restored it to regain quality and restore the estate to its reputation. A beautiful family and independent property.
