Grape variety:

Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), (Merlot 40%)

Eye :

Shimmering garnet.

Nose :

Fresh and ripe, small red and black berries (blackcurrant, blackberry, morello cherry), slight minty note.

Mouth :

Balanced mouth between fruit, minerality and melted but present tannins.

Agreements:

Charcuterie, tuna or salmon grilled with tomato-peppers, grilled meat, brie, dry picodon.

Château de France near Bordeaux, is part of the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux. It was taken over in 1971 by Bernard Thomassin. The family property in AOC Pessac-Léognan includes 36 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for the production of red wine, and 4 hectares of Sauvignon and Sémillon for the white. The estate includes a confidential parcel called Coquillat, full of fossils dating back 19 million years.
