The history of the Piron family goes back a long way Dominique Piron's oldest ancestor, Etienne Bailly, was born around 1590 in Morgon. Around 1723, thanks to the canal linking the Loire to the Seine, Beaujolais wines could be transported easily to Paris. To meet growing demand, the Bailly family chose to buy – and sell – the best cuvées in the parish of Villié. The advent of the "Beaujolais Nouveau" phenomenon in the 1970s and 1980s caused the more traditional terroirs to be forgotten and harmed the good reputation of the wines. Fortunately, a new generation of winegrowers has been able to restore their nobility. Also forgotten the fashion of the 2000s of very concentrated, woody wines to make way for wines with fruit, pleasant to drink. There is great potential, with certain terroirs which have nothing to envy to their neighbors in Burgundy or in the Rhone Valley. "A strong respect for biodiversity in the cultivation of the vine, and the search for wines of character", this is the philosophy of Dominique Piron who represents the 14th generation of the line of winegrowers.

Alcohol abuse is dangerous for health. To consume with moderation.
