Brice Bécard, the former cellar master: “The meeting of a rare grape variety, Pinot Blanc and a unique terroir, the Arce Valley, leads to this exclusive cuvée, which reveals an assertive and singular character. An exercise in style that will allow oenophiles and the curious to discover an astonishing wine, a pleasant expression and new sensations. Like the 2012 harvest, this cuvée delivers a flattering, frank and profound message. The low dosage allows it to express itself without shadow and to appreciate all the nuances of its originality. »
The Maison de Vignerons Chassenay d'Arce was founded by 5 pioneers in 1956 in Ville-sur-Arce, in the heart of the Côte des Bar. Today, 130 families work together on a 315 hectare vineyard spread over 12 villages along the Arce river, in the south of Champagne, near Burgundy. If the dominant grape variety is pinot noir, the vignerons also grow chardonnay, pinot meunier and, more rarely, pinot blanc. A diversity that allows them to offer cuvées with very varied personalities.
