Eye:
Golden yellow.
Nose :
Very harmonious, apricot jam, lychee, white-fleshed fruits and honey, a barely perceptible woody touch.
Mouth :
Nicely structured, fat and finely iodized freshness.
Food pairing :
As an aperitif with a tapenade of green olives, pan-fried scallops, grilled fish but also mature cheeses.
The Pessac-Léognan appellation, on the left bank of the Garonne, has existed since 1987 and includes 16 Graves classified growths.
Château de France, located near Bordeaux, is emblematic of the Graves appellation.. It was aquired in 1971 by the Thomassin family, one of the oldest winegrowers of the appellation. They worked to restaure the vineyards to produce real quality grapes. The estate includes a very special plot of 50 ares, Coquillat, full of fossils dating back 19 million years and which gives birth to Château Coquillas.
Château de France is a member of the Union of Grands Crus of Bordeaux.
