The Les Frondeurs cuvée illustrates the heterogeneity of the AC Béarn terroirs. It is the result of a judicious blend of plots characterized by particular soils and reliefs.
Attached to the Pyrenean foothills, the province of Béarn is a small region in the south-west of France and is made up of three wine-growing areas. The most remarkable is located along the Adoure, a capricious river which gives a unique microclimate to the whole valley. The high rainfall combines with local winds under the influence of the Pyrenees of the Atlantic Ocean and, to a lesser extent, of the Mediterranean Sea. The hillsides are subject to significant geological variations due to the formation of the chain of the Pyrenees.
The Crouseilles cellar, a few kilometers south of Madiran, is on the borders of Gers, Béarn and Gascony. It was in 1950 that winegrowers united their know-how in order to produce typical wines with character while respecting nature. Several winegrowers are already committed to organic conversion.
