Pleasure stay at the MMV Les Bergers hotel club

Ideally located at the foot of the slopes, with a sunny and sheltered terrace, the hotel club mmv Les Bergers has something to appeal to winter sports enthusiasts. Leaving and returning on skis is just perfect. The building itself, like many others in the resort, does not have much charm. Regardless, we did not come to find a small establishment with mountain charm.

The rooms are small, but the bedding is very comfortable.

Anyway, we spend the day on the slopes! Or we read on the terrace where the temperature rises quickly!

The rental of ski equipment is in the hotel itself, which is rather practical.

The spa, with two large jacuzzis, a sauna and a hammam, offers a beautiful view of the snowy landscape. And the massages provide total relaxation!

What surprises us is the quality of the meals served buffet style. There is a wide variety of salads, raw vegetables as well as hot dishes: meat, fish, vegetanles, vegetarian... 

A special mention for the pizzas! 

Everything is cooked and baked on site. Wine and juice are included in the price of the board. 

The service staff, young and smiling, ensures that the tables are cleared quickly. Everything is clean.

And when the director himself invites us to a barbecue on the terrace, it's pure happiness!

Children are cared for in clubs according to their age. Animators accompany those who are learning to ski to the meeting point of the lessons in order to allow parents to ski without any time constraints. The others go tobogganing, meet sled dogs, play... Parents and children, everyone finds happiness there.

The animators know not to exaggerate during the quizzes at aperitif- and coffee time. The atmosphere is good-natured.

As in the entire hotel and restaurant sector, MMV is faced with the difficulty of recruitment. In Alpe d'Huez, the solution came from... South America ! One of the members of the team being from Colombia, he used his network there. It is a real pleasure to meet these young people, smiling and enthusiastic, who take the opportunity to improve their French during their job. The management has also set up cooptation bonuses and does everything to create pleasant working conditions: loan of ski equipment, participation in the cost of the ski pass, accommodation at a low price, etc.

At the group level, the training of apprentices could lead to the creation of a mmv school…. There is no shortage of projects, including the development of bi-seasonality in order to keep seasonal workers and encourage them to settle down.

MMV, which has existed since 1989, manages 22 establishments, club hotels and club residences, in the French Alps and is positioned as the second hotel operator. It is present in 16 resorts in Savoie, Haute-Savoie, Isère and the Southern Alps. New establishments are opening, others are being renovated to upgrade.
