Eye :
Brilliant pink with bluish flecks.
Nose :
Intense, floral (peony), caramel, raspberry.
Mouth :
Unctuous, refreshing, fruity (raspberry), creamy. A toned style. A mineral finish.
Wine pairing :
Aperitif, barbecues, seafood salads, Asian cuisine, fish in sauce, country ham, lamb chops grilled with herbs, moussaka, Beaufort cheese.
Maison Vidal-Fleury in the heart of the Côte-Rôtie vineyard was founded in 1781 by Joseph Vidal. 30 km south of Lyon, on the banks of the Rhône, is the oldest house in the Rhône valley still in operation.
