Fronton comprises 2,400 hectares of vineyards in the heart of southwest France, 30 minutes from Toulouse (half of which are AOP, half for IGP wine production). Today, the Fronton AOP includes 35 independent winemakers and a cooperative winery with no fewer than 60 members. Fronton wines have benefited from the AOC (now AOP) designation since 1975, thanks in part to Négrette, a grape variety unique in the world that gives the wines their distinctive aromas of fruit, flowers, and spices.
