Located in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the Madiran appellation lies 40 km from Pau. The medieval village of Madiran gave its name to the vineyard, whose origins date back to antiquity. "
Les Hautains" in Madiran and "Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh" are two signature appellations of the Crouseilles winery, whose winemakers cultivate some of the finest terroirs organically. "
Les Hautains" refers to tall wooden posts used for trellising vines. This practice was common in the 19th century in the foothills of the Pyrenees.

The most delicate grape varieties, such as Tannat, are harvested by hand. Pre-fermentation cold maceration (24 hours), gentle pump-overs, controlled temperatures of 26°C, 20 to 25 days of maceration and alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation, and daily tastings. Artisanal expertise ensures optimal quality in color, structure, and aromatic compounds.
