Grape variety:
100% Pineau d'Aunis

Eye:
Rose petal dress, with silvery notes.

Nose:
A harmonious and fruity nose, with strawberry, peach, and sweet citrus aromas. Peppery and caraway notes support the ripe fruit and quince paste aromas.

Palate:
A thirst-quenching and fresh palate, with a lovely breadth. The fruity roundness comes from the clay, and the finesse from the flint, creating a highly complex, elegant, and refined whole. The spicy character of Pineau d'Aunis is expressed gently, notably with pink grapefruit, mango, black pepper, and a long, lingering finish.

Pairings:
Charcuterie, sushi, grilled salmon, flambéed prawns, marlin fillet, red mullet, trout with almonds, roast veal Orloff, mature goat cheeses.

The hillsides of the Vendômois region are located in the Loir River's meanders, which give this area a microclimate ideal for viticulture. The Pineau d'Aunis grape variety, which thrives in these prime slopes, originated at the priory of Aunis (near Saumur) in the 11th century. This cousin of Chenin Blanc has flourished in the Vendômois since the beginning of the 20th century and is now the defining characteristic of this Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC).

It expresses itself magnificently and gives the Gris du Vendômois a completely original typicity.
